Cornell's Adult University is a learning vacation -- on and off campus -- for anyone of any age who enjoys learning and exploring new ideas and new places. Our Seminars, Study Tours, and Cruises visit destinations all around the world and are guided by many of Cornell University's finest instructors. Our On-Campus Adult and Family Learning Vacations, offered during four week-long sessions each July, feature nine courses per week, after class activities, and time to explore the gorges, lakes, trails, and museums on Cornell's beautiful 3,000 acre campus. First-rate campus athletic facilities include swimming pools, 18-hole golf course, tennis, fitness facilities, jogging trails, just to list a few. Other activities: Evening concerts (classical and pop), excellent summer theatre, exhibits, special lectures, collections of the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, the Kroch Rare Books Library, the horticultural displays at a dozen different gardens of the Cornell Plantations, birding trails and exhibits at Sapsucker Woods and the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology. Many attractions are located near campus, including Taughannock Falls, Treman Gorge, Buttermilk Falls, Stewart Park, Cayuga Lake, dozens of excellent wineries, the Corning Glass Museum, the Ithaca Farmers' Market, Ithaca Commons, and very varied restaurants (Thai, Indian, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Mexican, Nouvelle Cuisine, Country Inns), coffee houses, bookstores, antique shops, and more.
